Deadpool is heading back to Disney’s California Adventure park at Disneyland Resort for the holidays. That’s right, the “merc with a mouth” will be headlining “The Story Time with Deadpool Holiday Special” this holiday season, but be warned —  may not be appropriate for all ages.

Disneyland Deadpool For The Holidays

The announcement was made on the Disney Parks Blog on October 30, 2025 along with other holiday character offerings at “the happiest place on earth.”

The post reads, “After making his Disneyland Resort debut last year, Deadpool is back for more holiday hilarity and super special seasonal stories. You can see him during ‘The Story Time with Deadpool Holiday Special’ near Avengers Campus. This limited-time entertainment offering celebrates the season in the way only Deadpool can. At select performances, Wolverine may also stop by.”

Other notable characters coming to Disneyland for the holidays include Mirabel from Encanto, Miguel from Coco, Carl, Dug, and Russell from “Up”, and of course, Santa Claus.

Not the First Deadpool Disneyland Rodeo

Deadpool made his debut at the Disneyland Resort in Disney’s California Adventure park back in July of 2024.

Along with Wolverine, he hosted the show “Story Time with Deadpool” near the Avengers Campus area of the park. This appearance coincided with the theatrical release of Marvel’s Deadpool and Wolverine. The movie was a smash hit for Disney/Marvel raking in over $1.3 Billion dollars at the global box office.

The initial show with Deadpool & Wolverine ran from July 26, 2024 to November. The holiday version continued from November 15, 2024 and ran until January 7, 2025.

Disneyland Deadpool is Fun For Adults But Questionable For Kids

While adults were yucking it up to Deadpool’s story time jokes, some adults questioned if this character and show was appropriate for the “family-friendly” environment of Disney Parks. Deadpool & Wolverine is an ‘R’ rated film, and for good reason.

While toned down to a more ‘PG13’ level for the California Adventure show, Deadpool’s jokes were still replete with innuendo that some parents might find objectionable for their children. Even if not stopping to actually watch the show, it took place in an outdoor area where casual passersby were easily within earshot of the less-than-family-appropriate humor.

Former Hollywood actress Tina Griffin made not of this on her X account.

“This is horrible for children,” she wrote. “Called Story Time with Deadpool, the show plays at Disney’s Ca, it is anything but a children’s film as it features F-bombs aplenty, repeated references to hardcore sex acts and jokes about taking cocaine.”

The post appears to reference the content of the movie rather than the Deadpool story time show, but her parental concern for such a character to be represented in the Disney Parks is notable.

One parental concern is that small children seeing any character at a Disney park would want to see the related property that spawned the character. Not only could this spark the grievance of having to explain to children why they’re not old enough to watch a “Disney” character in his ‘R’ rated film, but potentially a parent who may not be aware of the nature of this “superhero” might actually let their 5 year old view Deadpool & Wolverine on Disney +, the outcome of which could see seriously negative ramifications.

Deadpool at Disneyland: Watch at Your Own Discretion

The bottom line is that the “merc with a mouth” Marvel anti-hero will be telling tales of the holidays at Disney’s California Adventure park starting November 14, 2025 and running through January 7, 2026.

Fans of the character will certainly enjoy seeing his return to the park. But parents, be warned that you may find some of his material objectionable, especially for the little ones in your group. Use your own discretion.

Most importantly, make sure that when you’re looking for “the man in the red suit,” you confirm it’s actually Santa Claus you’re looking for, and not Deadpool.

Unless the story time is with Reynolds playing Deadpool and Jackman as Wolverine this will be a subpar experience. When people hear the different voices and realize it isn’t the ‘real’ character, they’ll tune out a little. Sure, they may finish the show since they’ll wait for 2 hours to get in, but it makes it harder to reach the quality bar.

Plus, good lord Disney, you are supposed to be catering to CHILDREN not the DINKs this show is clearly targeting. How and where you invest your money counts.

James Eadon

Hollywood has helped brainwash the Left into not having families. And, now, there are few kids being born, due to the low birth rates. And, now, Disney has no kids to brainwash, I mean, fleece, I mean, entertain, in its parks. So, it’s gonna rinse kidults instead. Alcohol and violence….
