Writers here have said it before and we’ll say it again: Disney Food Blog is a great resource for anyone who is interested in the culinary side of a Disney World vacation.
Before we get to the info on Tony’s Town Square, will you indulge me in reading about some future plans surrounding our website? If you’re strictly here for Tony’s Town Square, skip the next two paragraphs and keep on going. Otherwise, here’s what we’re thinking:
Like DFB, we are also a Disney news site insomuch as we cover Disney Parks as one of our main categories. We cover everything that’s fun, right? But we don’t really consider ourselves a direct competitor or sister site to DFB because we cover far more than just Disney… meanwhile, DFB is covering specifically food-related news and articles at Disney. And as we’ve said before, a rising tide lifts all boats.
We’re actually looking at a way to start providing links to other entertainment sites’ best articles on our site. There’s plenty of great ideas coming for That Park Place soon out of our ownership and leaders. There’s a time in the future when we can better highlight this kind of stuff! While we have the staff to put out six to twelve articles a day as we continue to ramp up, there’s simply no way we can directly cover every single thing going on in entertainment… so we’re working on a better solution.
Well, DFB is reporting on Tony’s Town Square Restaurant at Magic Kingdom and they’re saying the menu has been revamped with some significant improvements. New appetizers and entrees are available. Apparently, they’re not too bad. That’s great news for a restaurant that is often the only non Quick Service restaurant families pick up when reservations are full everywhere else. Although Skipper’s Cantina is sometimes available to… but that’s because people don’t know about it. Tony’s Town Square is hard to miss and the viewing from the restaurant is possibly the best seat in the house for parades. So if the food has gone up from way-less-quality-than-Olive Garden to “maybe comparable” then that’s a great upgrade for Magic Kingdom and its guests.
So go check out the review and look at the images. Maybe Tony’s Town Square is finally a place worthy of your consideration…
Here’s an excerpt:
Honestly, this garlic bread was the STAR of our whole meal. The bread was heavy on the garlic (not a problem for us) and the sauce was like a creamy parmesan Alfredo sauce, and it worked perfectly with the garlic bread. We might never look at garlic bread the same again — that’s how incredible it was.
Who’s ready for some lunch? 👋
One word: CHEESE 🧀
