Get ready for an unbelievable level of cuteness…

Hyrum Osmond, one of the Osmond siblings who didn’t wind up as an on-stage talent, went on to become a very important animator with The Walt Disney Company. One of the films that he worked on was Moana. Today, he shared a video of a young child who was the inspiration for Baby Moana and the sequence with the ocean early in the movie. Watch the inspiration and then check out the final animated version to see the similarites!

Is this entire thing not just more adorable than you can possibly stand? Thank you, Hyrum, for sharing such a precious piece of cinematic history and letting us in on how the forever classic, Moana, came to be.

Now where is the sequel?
