Disney Begins Draining Rivers of America for Site Preparation at Magic Kingdom

As of early August 2025, draining of the Rivers of America is visibly underway, after it and Tom's Sawyer's Island have been permanent closed. Construction barriers have been placed around affected areas, and water levels have dropped significantly over the past two weeks.
