Disney Employees Begin Walkouts Protesting Florida Law

Employees of The Walt Disney Company have begun using their fifteen minute break period to “walkout” in solidarity with condemnation of a Florida law that prohibits teaching sexual orientation and gender theory to kindergartners through third graders. The images of the “walkouts” are being sent to an organization known as Disney Walkout, which is then using the photos in its Twitter feed. This may indicate that Disney Company employees are indeed collaborating with an organization whose logo is a gloved Mickey-like fist in the iconic “red fist salute”. The supposed major “walkout” is listed by the organization as schedule to occur on March 22nd.

While Pixar employees appear to have only taken photos of their shoes near the Pixar Ball outside the studios, Disney Animation chose to go with a full group image:

While this is a relatively small group out of all the employees, it will be interesting to see how many employees participate in the March 22nd walkout that is supposed to be the big public display. At this time, we have no reports or photos of any Disney Park employees participating in the activities. We do see that one actress associated with The Walt Disney Company has attempted to boost awareness of the Disney Walkout collaboration:

There does not seem to be any initiative to protest Disney’s affiliation with the Chinese government, their use of slavery, forced labor, sterilization, concentration camps, organ harvesting, or genocide. There also appears to be no employee protest scheduled for awareness of human trafficking — something four Disney employees were just arrested for allegedly conducting.

We will continue to follow this in the most unbiased way possible with further commentary made in editorial articles by our writers. For straight facts, make sure to look for articles listed as “News” without the “Opinion” tag.
