Though some sites are citing “tremendous push back” after The Walt Disney Company attempted to mostly stay out of the Florida legislative process, reporting by That Park Place found only about 260 total employees participated in any sort of protest on March 22nd. Of that number, there was no evidence of any employee participating in the full-day walk-out protest that the Disney Walkout organization had attempted to orchestrate. Now, however, a counter response is beginning to form around the situation.
We recently reported on a statement purported to come from Disney’s conservative employees. This was featured prominently on the website The American Conservative, so we presume it to be legitimate. Now the statement is being distributed in the form of a Google Drive document acting as a petition. Signing onto the petition requires signers to provide an email address and a classification of affiliation with the Disney Company. The wording is the same as what is seen in TAC.
