The Walt Disney Company has resurrected the Reimagine Tomorrow Program after having previously scrubbed it from their public and private webpages. Despite the outward changes to “soften” the language, it does not appear that the company has changed the original training program documents which were accused by some of being racist.
With the reemergence of the initiative by Disney, they decided to give the highly-controversial program its own Twitter handle. Based on the ratio of negative responses, it would appear the public has caught on to Disney. The company now has a serious perception issue that it will need to address. It is difficult to have an initiative focused on social issues domestically (or in the parks and in movies with Stories Matters Group — a leftist, culture-changing initiative), while at the same time working hand-in-hand with the genocidal, slavery-promoting Chinese Communist Party.
So that you can see just how badly Disney’s perception has taken a hit, here is the original tweet and then the responses to it:
As storytellers at Disney, we have a responsibility to reflect our audiences in our content and experiences, so we’re more committed than ever to making that a reality. Explore more: https://t.co/gpiA6Phsr0 Let’s #ReimagineTomorrowTogether pic.twitter.com/R4pV4cnQK3

You aren't storytellers, you are activists and lecturers.

Is that why you shrunk John Boyega on the Chinese Star Wars poster? Or edited out the lesbian kiss?

So this must mean Gina Carano is coming back to the Mandalorian…to reflect the part of the audience that she represents!
This is great! Unless Disney only likes diversity/representation when it comes to race, and is biased when it comes to diversity/representation of thought.— Bryan Leontes (@BryanLeontes) September 2, 2021
Why don’t you tell the story about those concentration camps Disney filmed Mulan near? No! I didn’t think so…

It’s probably worthwhile to note that there’s a critical reply of Disney with quadruple the likes of their original tweet. It would appear that the pixie dust has worn off…
