Disney Cruise Line will reveal additional details about its new cruise ship, the Disney Believe, during a livestream on October 7, 2026.

The presentation will begin at 4:30 p.m. Eastern time. Disney Parks will stream the event on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Disney says the presentation will cover the ship’s homeport, itineraries, new venues and entertainment.

The October event is not the first announcement about the Disney Believe. Disney Cruise Line announced the ship’s name in March 2026, and this year’s D23 provided a sneak peak of the design.

The Disney Believe will also become the fourth ship in the Wish class. The class currently includes the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny.

D23 Details

Disney has already disclosed several design details for the Disney Believe.

The ship’s Grand Hall will feature a bronze statue of Moana, with Pua and Heihei alongside her. Disney says the Grand Hall will draw on the spirit of exploration from the Moana films. The design will also include influences from the South Pacific setting depicted in the films.

Disney has also revealed artwork planned for the ship’s bow and stern.

For a ship called Believe, who better to put on the front than fairy who helped people believe they could fly? Tinker Bell will appear on the bow in a hand-painted filigree design. The artwork will also include silhouettes of Peter Pan, Wendy and Captain Hook. Disney says the design draws on Tinker Bell’s appearance in the 1953 animated film Peter Pan.

Finally, Woody and Buzz Lightyear will appear on the stern. Larger-than-life statues of the Toy Story duo will be on the back, working on the ship’s name with large yellow crayons. Their lettering will replace the classic calligraphy used on the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

Disney has also said that several animated films will influence elements of the ship. Those films include Encanto, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana and The Little Mermaid.

The company has not yet provided complete details about the Disney Believe’s onboard venues and entertainment. Disney plans to address new venues and entertainment during the October 7 presentation.

Construction Continues on Disney’s New Cruise Ship

The Disney Believe is under construction at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany.

On September 18, the first of three large sections, known as gigablocks, was completed and floated out of the shipyard. Disney says the section contains the middle portion of the vessel, including the Grand Hall.

Cruise Industry News lists the Disney Believe at approximately 140,000 gross tons. The publication also lists capacity at 2,500 passengers based on double occupancy. Its orderbook lists delivery in the fourth quarter of 2027.

Disney has not announced a specific maiden-voyage date, though the upcoming October livestream is set to provide details on Believe’s iteneraries.

Disney Cruise Line Fleet Expansion

Disney announced the Disney Believe during its 2026 Annual Meeting of Shareholders on March 18. At the meeting, the company said it had five additional ships in development and identified the Disney Believe as its ninth ship.

The ship will add another Wish-class vessel to the fleet. Disney has also announced a separate new class of three ships that will follow the Disney Believe. Those ships are scheduled to begin joining the fleet in 2029.

The is planning to reveal more details at the upcoming October 7, including the ship’s itineraries, homeport, venues, and entertainment.

The livestream will begin at 4:30 p.m. Eastern time on October 7, 2026. Disney Parks will carry the presentation on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
