Changes are coming to the Walt Disney World — many of them are returns to what worked much better for decades. For Disney, which has convinced large swaths of consumers to stop attending their parks, they may be desperate to draw back crowds from Southern Florida and Miami.
Walt Disney World has unveiled details about upcoming changes to theme park reservations and annual passholder park hopping, set to take effect in January.
As disclosed in May, the company is set to introduce what some locals might call Días Listos para Magia… or Good-to-Go Days for those of you who are English-speakers. I say the Spanish version because Disney will be hoping desperately that Hispanic locals, and especially from southern Florida, will flock to the theme parks over the next year. The company has largely driven away vast demographics from the north. During these special days, annual passholders can access Disney World parks without prior reservations. While January 11 is not necessarily the inaugural Good-to-Go Day, it marks the commencement of the calendar’s updates. This information will be accessible through the My Disney Experience app, the online theme park reservation calendar, and the annual passholder admissions calendar.
A reminder: Park Hopper hours are gone beginning Jan. 9. Also – Annual Passholders may also continue to visit without a park reservation after 2 p.m. unless visiting Magic Kingdom Park on a Saturday or Sunday. https://t.co/CjDcGfcBWH

On Good-to-Go Days, all four WDW theme parks will be open, but passholders should be mindful of existing block-out dates. The Good-to-Go calendar will see periodic additions, and Disney Parks Blog suggests there may be days or even weeks of advance notice before these updates.
The introduction of the Good-to-Go list aligns with the return of “Día Completo” (okay, I’ll stop, I’ll stop) or “All-Day Park Hopping” for annual passholders on January 9. Previously, passholders were restricted to park hopping after 2 p.m., but this adjustment eliminates such limitations. This returns the system to what it once was (mostly). It also might be perceived as Disney giving into the need to draw in more customers — otherwise, why strip down their predictive modules?
However, when reservations are still required on certain dates, passholders must first enter the park for which they have secured reservations before transitioning to another. Similar to the present scenario, passholders can visit any theme park after 2 p.m., except for Magic Kingdom on weekends.
For guests staying in Disney hotels, January 9 signifies the conclusion of park reservations for those holding date-specific tickets and the reinstatement of the optional Disney Dining Plan. This additional feature is available to visitors who purchase Walt Disney World vacation packages and includes prepaid meals and snacks in parks and resorts.
Disney initially implemented park-specific, date-specific reservations during the 2020 reopening from the pandemic shutdown. The gradual return of park-hopping, albeit with restrictions, commenced in 2021.
