It appears that a man’s attempt to have a romantic marriage proposal inside Disneyland’s California Adventure theme park was stopped by Disneyland security. Although not confirmed, it is suspected that the gentleman had non-Disney balloons as part of his proposal, which apparently was too big of a no-no to be allowed.

In the video, guests can be heard loudly booing the security guard who escorts the man near the entrance to the park. With his marriage proposal attempt ruined, the guard can be seen radioing to her department… but that’s as far as we get to see.
There is no rule against marriage proposals inside the Disney parks and proposals happen quite often. That the guard would take action during the proposal over non-sanctioned balloons is a little bit heartless. I understand that Disneyland has rules on balloons, but my gosh, read the moment and quietly tell him they’re prohibited after he finds out if the answer is “yes” or “no. Even middle school hall monitors would know better!
This is another negative article for Disney here at That Park Place, but on behalf of all our staff let me say that we are very much trying to find positive stories! It’s just been a rough week for The Walt Disney Company.
