Guests interested in staying in Dolly Parton’s “home on wheels” are now able to do so for a very high price. But before we think about being critical of the cost, remember that much of it is going to charity.

For a grand sum of $10,000, you can stay in the “Gypsy Wagon” that Dolly Parton has used for touring until 2022. The tour bus turned into a rolling condominium is a steep ask but it comes with some amenities that might make it a little more worthwhile. Of course the service comes with concierge service, special culinary offerings, as well as privacy. However, even with all of that, it’s still $5,000 per night (a two-night stay is required). That’s almost double the cost of a “voyage” on the Galactic Starcruiser in Walt Disney World.

“(I) decided to retire it because I wasn’t touring that much anymore and it just was sitting there. And I thought this could be put to really good use. I loved all my time on the bus, I was traveling with my friend Judy (Ogle), my best friend from Sevierville. We’ve been friends since we were in the third grade and we just traveled all those miles together. But we’ve had lots of wonderful memories of people that would come on the bus to visit, when we traveled around, dignitaries, stars, everybody, but all the memories are special to me.”

The bus, or Suite 1986 as it is now known, is available for up to two guests and is located at the DreamMore Resort and Spa at Dollywood Resort. For more information, or to reserve, visit the Dollywood website.
