To say that Dollywood has come a long way might be an understatement at this point. Trip Advisor is now claiming that Dollywood Resort is the top theme park attraction in the United States when it comes to travelers’ choices, beating out Universal Studios and the Disney Parks. That this comes from the public is what makes it so remarkable. Has East Tennessee become the new Orlando? It may seem absurd, but we’re just following the news where it takes us. Does the American public now prefer Dollywood over the big theme parks that we cover here more often every day? And should we adjust our coverage as a result going forward? Perhaps the buzz is all about Dolly Parton’s vacation destination in the Smokies…

It’s sort of unbelievable just how much has been added and improved at that theme park in the last decades. What a great job by Dolly Parton and her teams! It’s went from a regional amusement park to a theme park that regularly beats out the unbeatable Disney and Universal in regards to how much people enjoy it. Remarkable!
