If you have a young family or some grandkids who are not yet of the school-going variety, boy does Dollywood ever have a deal for you. The theme park has announced that all children who are preschool age can receive a free annual pass for the 2022 year. It’s called the Pre-K Imagination Pass and it not only gets little ones into Dollywood for free but it also gives them access to Splash Country, Dollywood’s neighboring sister water park.
In order to receive a Pre-K Imagination Pass for 2022, a child must have been born in the year 2017 or later. Sorry, 2016 kiddos!
From WRAL:
Once you register your pre-K child, just bring your child to the Dollywood front gate in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, with a photocopy of their birth certificate or passport to confirm their birth year and they’re ready to enjoy some fun at the park. The pass is good for the rest of 2022.
Parents or guardians will need admission to the park in order to join any child with a free pass. If you’ll just be visiting for a vacation, you can purchase an adult one-day pass for $84, a two-day pass for $104 or a three-day pass for $114. Children and seniors are priced at $10 lower for each ticket price, with kids who are 3 years old and under getting in for free.
If you’re looking for tips and tricks when taking a small child to Dollywood, the Trips with Tykes website has a fantastic article as a guide. Our one major recommendation is that you be careful with little ones before boarding the Dollywood train. The locomotive uses real coal and has a loud horn — as a result, very small children could be frightened by the sounds and smells of an actual train. It’s a bit more intense than a train you might find at Walt Disney World. Still, some children will love the train and want to ride again and again!
