Echo actress Alaqua Cox confirmed that the recently released Disney+ series is part of the MSheU.
For those unfamiliar with the term MSheU, it’s a moniker used by former fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe who now mock the current offerings and their poor quality for constantly injecting feminism into the stories.
That feminism is usually heavy-handed and agenda-driven. It can be seen through the gender replacing of characters like Taskmaster in Black Widow or Mar-Vell in Captain Marvel.
It also takes the form of creating overpowered girl boss female characters like G’iah in Secret Invasion, or having female characters commit heinous acts and never have to suffer any consequences for it such as Scarlet Witch in WandaVision.
Many of the films will also show the female characters as the only ones being capable while the male characters are depicted as losers. This can be seen in Thor: Love and Thunder as well as the Disney+ series Loki and She-Hulk.
Not only are the male characters depicted as losers, but the female characters will usually degrade them throughout the films or TV shows as seen in Loki and Secret Invasion. If they aren’t explicitly degrading them, there is usually a reference to how women or the female characters would have done it better.
In an interview with Collider, Cox, who is deaf answered questions using American Sign Language. She said of the show, “… a lot of blood, violence, guns involves as well, and it’s very gritty.”
She then added, “It’s a different feel compared to what the other M-She… MCU stuff that we’ve seen…”

Cosmic Book News’ Matt McGloin confirmed that is indeed what Cox said when he asked one of his friends who teaches at a school for the deaf to review the interview.
He posted on X, “I can confirm this is true. My friend teaches at the school for the deaf and I had him watch it. ‘She does..bahahaha!!’ he replied. ‘They actually stop the video after she signs M she, right as she’s about to spell M for MCU.'”

What do you make of Alaqua Cox confirming the existence of the MSheU and that Echo is part of it?
