“Elena of Alavor” Actress Says “Burn It All Down”

If you thought the headline was weird, just wait until you see the tweets…

Sometimes there are political and/or judicial decisions that are made which might seem controversial. Perhaps there’s something that you disagree with in everyday life. Sometimes it may be a big thing you disagree with, and other times there are small things. But for Elena of Alavor actress, Aimee Carrero, it seems that she is calling for destructive violence in the face of the Kenosha situation. As a reminder, Elena of Alavor is a Disney+ show for small children. It’s a Disney Junior thing.

That’s why when the actress who plays Elena says to “burn it all down,” it seems a little odd. It’s odd in the same way that Captain Kangaroo or Barney the Dinosaur telling you to commit arson seems like a bit much.

Here at That Park Place, we’re curious if Aimee is planning to commit arson, or if she’s recommending others do it and take the potential punishment for it? Is she going to compensate those who carry out her suggestion for material destruction? Is she going to pay back innocent store owners should people burn down their businesses? Or is this more a metaphor? In which case, is Aimee suggesting that we jettison the judicial system of a jury by your peers?

It’s all a bit vague, but hopefully Ms. Carrero will clarify the meaning behind her tweet. After all, it puts a bit of a damper on D23 when Disney actresses seem to be calling for mass destruction, arson, and potential harm to others.

Instead of burning things down or harming others and their livelihoods, we at That Park Place encourage peaceful demonstrations, freedom of speech, and civil protests no matter what your political leaning. And because we encourage that so much, feel free to leave a comment below! We read them, and our authors often respond!
