Epcot has often been the theme park at Disney World with the latest opening. Not only has the park sometimes opened as late at 10 AM, but throughout its history, half the park has often remained closed until lunchtime. Epcot’s just been that way — it’s a midday to evening kind of park where half the fun is wining and dining. But with the upcoming launch of Cosmic Rewind, executives in charge of Disney World may be thinking that every hour is going to count for getting guests onto the brand new, mega E-Ticket attraction!

Disney Exec Accidentally Leaks Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster Opening

Disney has adjusted their calendars so that Epcot is now revealed to be opening at 8:30 AM for normal guests and 8:00 AM for select Disney resort guests (see: Disney hotels).

And in case you’re wondering just how big this new ride is likely to be for Epcot, we have calculated that Cosmic Rewind is likely the most expensive theme park attraction ever constructed! You can bet we’ll be in line to ride it on the first day with a review ready to roll out. Will this one blow away even Rise of the Resistance and Flight of Passage? That’s what we’re hearing, if you can believe it. Look out, Orlando, there may be a new roller coaster king, at Epcot of all places!

Are you planning to be at Cosmic Rewind this summer? If so, let us know in the comments below! And we’ll keep bringing you all the news that should be fun, right here at That Park Place.
