The Voices of Liberty have been performing at the American Adventure pavillion since the beginning of EPCOT. Always they’ve been dressed in colonial attire, except for special occasions, and they’ve always performed songs associated with American liberty, patriotism, spirit, etc. Now, things they are a changing…
Instead of singing a medley of American-themed songs (there’s still a little bit of that), they wear red and blue shirts and dresses while singing Disney songs.

And don’t get excited about this potentially being a temporary change. WDW Pro has said to That Park Place staff that the colonial costumes for Voices of Liberty are completely gone from wardrobe.
It is quite disappointing to see this water-downed version of The Voices of Liberty, as well as the replacement of the historic images around the rotunda. For an example of how far this spectacle has fallen, here’s the same group from 2019:
The problem isn’t necessarily the minimalist attire change… it’s that the American Adventure area at Epcot is a shell of its former self. Maybe that’s a metaphor for Epcot as a whole. It’s sad to see the quality and the vision decreased.
Let me know in the comments below if you agree or disagree with the shift in purpose for Voices of Liberty!
