We learned earlier today from our legal analyst that the lawsuit against the State of Florida, alleging that the dissolution of Reedy Creek Improvement District would damage Central Florida residents, was not simply dismissed from court. Instead, this “lawsuit” was so impressively flawed that it was kicked out of the court via “sua sponte.” That means Florida lawyers didn’t even have to file a motion for dismissal. It only further demonstrates that some media outlets that ran this as a serious lawsuit or effort were either misled or unethical. This was a political stunt or act of lunacy. Given one of the lawsuit plaintiffs is a political figure probably tells you which it might be.
