Look out, Ariel! Get out of the way, Luca! To help cast members understand indigenous peoples, Disney’s Reimagine Tomorrow brough in an aquatic drag queen.
When one thinks of the challenges faced by indigenous peoples all over the world, be they Native Americans, native Polynesians, Uyghurs and more, you probably don’t think of all the worries they have about keeping their fins safe. That would be a silly thing to think since most indigenous people presumably don’t have fins. But like a tsunami straight out of the fictional world of Atlantis, Disney managed to find an indigenous person who also happens to think they are, in fact, a fish.
So rather than having cast members listen to the real world experiences of Native Americans, cast members instead sat down virtually to hear from someone who believes Halloween costumes are substitutes for reality. I’m sure it was riveting stuff.
Check out my latest video from Twitter and enjoy the insanity of Disney’s Reimagine Tomorrow. Remember that I’m releasing these videos exclusively on Twitter first and then sometimes bringing them to That Park Place when it makes sense. Follow me over there if you want even more of the stuff I cover!
Disney is living out the Kanye West Fish episode from South Park. Instead of honoring indigenous peoples in the designated month, they've selected a person who acts as if they are an aquatic creature… on dry land… for HR conferences.

The good news for Disney? The whole thing only cost them five packets of Tetra Fin Beta Fish Food.*
For all the latest news that should be fun, keep reading That Park Place. As always, drop a comment down below and let me know your thoughts!
* That Park Place can neither confirm nor deny that Disney paid anyone with fish food. The statement is a joke. Everything else in this article is surprisingly real.
