Even in the worst times of our lives, we have things for which to be thankful. There is no hole we can be in, no darkness we can therein be placed where we can’t see some glimmer of light that should bring gratitude. For some of us today, there is much to be thankful for and life is wonderful. For others, today will be hard for one reason or another, but gladly hard times don’t stay forever.
Here at That Park Place, we have plenty to say “thank you” for. In late July, Rick Frazier started this website with a goal of offering truthful travel, entertainment, theme park, and gaming news… with plenty of opinions that don’t always fit corporate narratives. And in just a few months, our readership has grown to impressive numbers. It’s hard to say if views will continue to maintain or we will grow current numbers, but how could we not be so thankful for our readers who make this site continue to exist? So, to you who reads this Thanksgiving Day article, we offer our sincere gratitude.
We’re also thankful for our many writers who have come on board. From our newest member, Sarah Carson, to our first pickup, John Golf, and all the writers in between, we’re so glad that each and every one of you is a part of our lineup. Each person here at That Park Place brings something unique and irreplaceable. We also want to offer our sincere thanks to our web administrator who does a remarkable job of handling our traffic, set up the site to feature success, and continues to work hard in the background. Fantastic job, Michael!
Finally, it’s a good time to be thankful that our little website, That Park Place, will be ending its beta soon. For you, the reader, there won’t be much of a difference, other than you’ll notice a new comic strip is coming to the front page: The Zed Zone. But for us, it represents the site coming to full fruition (and a lot of work in the background being complete).
Wherever you are today, and whatever situation you are facing, we wish you the very happiest of Thanksgivings. Please spend time with family and friends. And if you are lonely, working, or away from those you care most about, just remember that there are better days ahead. For that, we can all be thankful.
Happy Thanksgiving!
