The KPop Demon Hunters toys, inspired by the Netflix animated film of the same name, has begun to emerge in retail previews following licensing agreements between Netflix and major toymakers Mattel and Hasbro. The first public presentations of the products were shared at trade events in early 2026, offering a look at plans for a broad merchandise rollout tied to the film’s commercial reach.
Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters debuted in June 2025, and by the end of that year had become one of the streaming service’s most-watched films, with reports citing over 500 million views globally. The studio did not expect its success and did not have finalize a deal with Mattel and Hasbro till the fall, missing the Christmas merchandising spike. The arrangement covers toys, games, collectibles and related products scheduled to appear at retail beginning in 2026.
Mattel’s Toy Line Offerings
Mattel’s initial reveal focuses on dolls and assorted play products derived from the KPop Demon Hunters characters, particularly the film’s central trio — Rumi, Zoey and Mira. Among these are articulated dolls tied to the characters’ appearances and outfits, including versions that are meant to evoke scenes and music from the film. The company also plans to integrate the franchise into several of its existing toy brands, such as Polly Pocket, UNO and Little People Collector, to expand the thematic range of offerings.

Product categories span from 6-inch fashion and action figures to larger American Girl-style dolls, with prices varying by size and feature set. Some of the larger dolls are expected to retail for more than $150 in premium editions, while smaller figures and branded game sets carry lower suggested prices. Early preorder activity for specific Mattel products began in late 2025, though broad retail availability is timed for spring and later in 2026.

Hasbro described its toys, saying “kids can imagine becoming part of HUNTR/X and the ‘take down’ with Nerf toys modeled after the trio’s iconic demon-hunting gear. Zoey’s Spirit Blades capture the playful energy of the bubbly fan-favorite, while Rumi’s Four Tiger Sword features a pearlescent foam blade and hilt fit for a fearless leader. Mira’s Curved Moon Sword, sleek and stylish, channels the precision and power of HUNTR/X’s lead dancer and choreographer.”
Hasbro’s Planned Products
Under its licensing portion of the deal, Hasbro is developing toys and games that extend beyond figures to include plush toys, interactive play items, board games and role-play accessories. A MONOPOLY Deal: KPop Demon Hunters version is part of the lineup, alongside other games and themed products.

Retail Timing and Market Positioning
While many of the announced products are scheduled for general release in spring and fall of 2026, select items remain on preorder ahead of full availability. Mattel and Hasbro executives have described the strategy as part of a longer-term merchandising presence linked to the film’s continuing popularity, rather than a single seasonal launch.

Agreements of this scope — naming two global “co-master” toy licensees for a single entertainment property — are relatively uncommon, signaling Netflix’s intention to diversify how content properties translate into consumer products.
