Universal Orlando Resort has announced that Epic Universe’s holiday decor will expand to more areas of the park during the 2026 holiday season. For the first time, Super Nintendo World will receive seasonal decorations as part of Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort.
The holiday event will run from November 14, 2026, through January 3, 2027. Universal announced some of the upcoming seasonal décor, entertainment, specialty food and beverages, and themed merchandise that will once again be available across the resort.
During Epic Universe’s first holiday season in 2025, seasonal decorations appeared in Celestial Park and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic while Isle of Berk celebrated the fictional holiday of Snoggletog. Super Nintendo World did not receive holiday decorations during that inaugural celebration with some very minimal theming appearing in gift shops at Dark Universe. The 2026 event expands holiday decor at Epic Universe to two additional lands.
Epic Universe Holiday Decor Will Expand in 2026
Universal has confirmed that Super Nintendo World and Isle of Berk will each receive festive decorations during this year’s event. The announcement marks the first official expansion of Epic Universe’s holiday decor beyond the areas decorated during the park’s inaugural holiday season.

A “cosmic winter wonderland” will once again return to Celestial Park, featuring seasonal decorations throughout its gardens, walkways, restaurants, and gathering spaces. Christmas décor will also return to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, continuing the seasonal presentation introduced in 2025.
Universal has not announced holiday offerings for Dark Universe.
Holiday Celebrations Across Universal Orlando
Epic Universe is one part of the larger Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort celebration, which spans all three Universal Orlando theme parks, Universal CityWalk, and the resort’s hotels.
Universal confirmed that Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will return to Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure, Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida, and Place Cachée in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe. Each location will feature seasonal décor inspired by its setting, along with themed entertainment and holiday offerings unique to the Wizarding World.

At Universal Studios Florida, guests can once again watch Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s, which includes larger-than-life balloons, floats, and characters from Universal properties alongside traditional holiday icons. Over at Universal Islands of Adventure, Grinchmas will return with live entertainment based on Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
The celebration also extends beyond the theme parks. Universal CityWalk and Universal Orlando Resort hotels will once again offer seasonal decorations, limited-time food and beverages, holiday-themed merchandise, and other festive offerings throughout the event.
More Details Are Expected Before the Holiday Season
Epic Universe opened in May 2025 with five themed worlds: Celestial Park, Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk. The expanded holiday decor at Epic Universe will make 2026 the first holiday season in which four of the five areas celebrate the festivities.
