It seems the tide has turned in Hollywood, and it didn’t take long for self-interest to reveal itself. Over 400 major Hollywood creatives—including big names like Ben Stiller, Mark Ruffalo, Ron Howard, Cate Blanchett, and even Paul McCartney—have submitted an open letter to the Trump White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy. Their plea? To protect their copyrighted Hollywood works from being freely exploited by AI giants like OpenAI and Google.

Yes, you read that right. Many of the same celebrities who spent the past eight years vilifying Trump are now relying on his administration to block Big Tech's attempt to sidestep copyright laws and monetize their work without fair compensation.

Mad Lemming

AHAHAHA! Are they serious? The only reason studios *can* replace them with AI is because THEY SIGNED OVER THE RIGHTS TO THEIR LIKENESSES! That’s been a clause in Hollywoke contracts for decades and it’s been done before without LLM (it’s not AI, stop calling it that). Not as full-blown replacements for feature length films and TV shows but certainly for commercials and print advertisements.

These people are proof that artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.

Reminds me of the Thanos quote. “You could not live with your own failure. And where did that bring you? Back to me.”
