HoYoverse’s latest title, Zenless Zone Zero, has already surpassed 50 million downloads in less than a week since the game became available on July 4th.

In a post to X, the official Zenless Zone Zero account detailed, “Greetings! Since its release, Zenless Zone Zero has reached 50 million downloads globally. A city that once only existed in the hopes and dreams of the dev team has never been as buzzing with life as it is now. Your patience and support have made New Eridu what it is today.”
The account added, “Of course, to live up to everyone’s expectations and truly become a city of miracles, we are aware that there are still lots of improvements to be made. We encourage all Proxies to provide feedback and suggestions via our official channels.”
From there it revealed that players will receive 1,600 Polychrome within 24 hours as a reward if they reach Inter-Knot Lv. 1 or above.

The 50 million download mark is not all that surprising given Zenless Zone Zero had previously detailed that 40 million people had pre-registered for the game as of June 11th.
The company announced on X, “Global Zenless Zone Zero Pre-Registrations have exceeded 40 million! Thank you all for your support! We look forward to seeing you all soon! All Pre-Registration Milestone rewards have been unlocked! Pre-register to claim Master Tape ×20, Agent Corin ×1, Boopon ×5, and Denny ×30,000!”

According to Sensor Tower the game is the most downloaded game on both the App Store and Google Play.
The analytics company also reports that HoYoverse’s other popular Gacha titles Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact are huge money makers. The outlet reports that Honkai: Star Rail grossed $55 million in China alone and another $36 million globally in May. That increased to $60.5 million in June. Global revenue declined to $32 million. Genshin Impact did $30.3 million in China and $23 million globally in May. It increased to $38.5 million in China and $28 million globally in June.
Given the massive amount of downloads for Zenless Zone Zero, one can only imagine it is likely to top the charts for July.

For those unfamiliar with the game, it allows players to build a squad of three players as they explore the dangers and wonders of New Eridu, a new city that has emerged in the world following a mysterious natural disaster called the Hollows.
Unlike Honkai: Star Rail, which is a more traditional turn-based role-playing game, Zenless Zone Zero is a 3D action game that focuses on players dodging, parrying, and counterattacking the various enemies found in New Eridu and the Hollows.
