Those who said the hurricane was “not so bad” are reassessing their position as daylight shows significant theme park damage.
Jurassic Park River Adventure at Universal Studios’ Islands of Adventure sustained major damage from Hurricane Ian last night. The winds from the storm resulted in a gaping hole being torn in the side of the show building where much of the attraction occurs. It does not appear any damage occurred to structural supports which would be far worse. Unfortunately, a hole this large can also mean that a potential for extreme water damage to interior utilities. We just won’t know how long the ride could be down until Universal Studios releases information.
