Although not officially announced, we’re exclusively reporting that Indiana Jones 5 is likely to debut its teaser trailer before Wakanda Forever.

According to a reliable source for this site, we expect that the first trailer for Indiana Jones 5 will release with the debut of Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever. We also expect that the name of the film will be revealed with the teaser trailer or perhaps announced days before.

Although the trailer was shown behind closed doors at D23, the general public has not yet seen the preview. Those who have seen it, however, have often described it in glowing terms. I’m also quite hopeful that this will be a film worthy of a swan song for Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones character and his career. Despite director James Mangold’s poor behavior last year, it does no one any good for the film to fail. It has been the works for nearly a decade with many rewrites, revisions, a change of directors and multiple delays. I’m hoping it has been worth the trouble and worth the wait.

I’m very proud to say that this one is fantastic, and this is one of the reasons. Indiana Jones movies are about mystery and adventure, but they’re also about heart, and I’m really, really happy that we have a really human story to tell, as well as a movie that will kick your ass.”

Ford has indicated he will not return to play the character again. Many speculate this is at least the last Indiana Jones movie for a very, very long time… perhaps the last ever.

Who can say? Maybe in fifty years we’ll be watching a CGI Indy, indecipherable from reality, running around in our new virtual worlds?

But for the big screen in our modern era, it will be time to say goodbye.

Wakanda Forever releases November 11th of this year. If our source is right, so will our first real glimpse at at final Indiana Jones.

If this movie failing means we can be saved from watching CGI Indy 50 years from now then everyone should be rooting for its failure. No one should be supporting Hollywood milking their IP to death.

Agreed! If it fails, then it’s bye bye witchy Kathleen Kennedy!

We’ve had how many Batmans and at least three spidermen. It took Disney one troubled prequel to animate faces to maintain visual characters.

Disney fails until the storytellers return.

Can’t wait for this! Let’s go Indy!

I agree with Dave. Let’s go Indy!!! Been waiting for this for years. Crystal Skull was my least favorite, but love all the characters so much I enjoyed it more than I probably should have. Felt like Spielberg especially didn’t take it as seriously as he had in the past. Perhaps that is because he changed quite a lot in the years between Last Crusade and Crystal Skull. Nevertheless, he is a master of his craft. I just think his heart wasn’t into it in the same way, and it is my sincere belief that Mangold will really deliver with this film. Cannot wait!
