The latest rumor from Overlord DVD is matching up with the same things we’re hearing about Indiana Jones. Is this the last last Crusade?
When it comes to Indiana Jones leaks that turn out to be true, one YouTube has been ahead of all the rest. Using his “Hollywood spies,” the illustrious Doomcock has managed to be the first on a number of Indy 5 leaks. Now, DC is back with one that WDW Pro has heard in the past and seems to be confirmed. But this isn’t the sort of thing that is sure to make everyone happy. As the title says, it looks like they killed Han and now they’re going to kill Indy too.
Maybe Harrison’s taking this “when I go, he goes” thing just a little to hard?
So what do you think? Is Indiana Jones heading for a headstone? Let us know in the comments below if you’re for or against such a thing. We all have a checkout date… but do we need to see Indy’s. And, as always, keep reading That Park Place for all the latest news that should be fun!

Was anyone really clamoring for another Indy film after the last one? This social phenomenon called ‘fanhood’ is still a relatively new thing that has evolved over the last few decades. It has gone from and outcast community of late boomers and gen-xers to a mainstream subculture that has been co-opted by corporate enterprise. I believe that we are in a post-peak point where most everything is now a diluted substandard carbon copy of what has come before. When creativity dies, the hacks rely on ‘subverting your expectations’ out of a dearth of ideas. When you don’t know how to push the art forward you devolve into deconstructing what has come before. It is a facade – the illusion of bringing something “new” into existence. Artsy people live and breathe for “the new” but sadly few are really able to deliver. This is an age dominated by pastiche-by-corporate-committee. All things come to an end – and that ‘s okay. In regards to Indy 5…I have the first 3 films, that ‘s good enough.
I don’t get the Disney obsession to keep killing compelling characters with the intent of replacing them with worse ones. It makes the movie worse and kills merchandising. Recent Marvel, Star Wars, and now Indiana Jones is all about bait and switch. I wish they just went straight to a reboot instead having feeble Harrison Ford reprise his role. The last movie was nothing special. That was also the decline of Steven Spielberg as a director. I since stopped caring about any project Spielberg has directed.
Majority of the destruction of old characters came from the hands of Kathleen Kennedy. While we can only guess at really intentions, my hypothesis is she sees herself as some great film maker and that the older characters were only holding her back. She got rid on them in order to make room for her new and *better* characters. To bad no one likes her characters
i disagree
Waller-Bridge was there to help kill Bond and she has found a kindred spirit in Kennedy who looks to kill Jones but when the floor drops out from under Wakanda Forever I expect to hear additional news of another round of reshoots to “fix” Indy. Disney / Lucasfilm needs better writing so stories can be written, ready, and released without costly reshoots. So I’m offering to get that done for future projects. I know it comes with a risk but I aim to turn that to trust. Other than doing something I love and supporting my family I’d like to see a decade of stories written by myself please fans of Lucasfilm. I urge Disney / Lucasfilm to look outside the mystery box of failure and diminishing returns they keep grabbing imaginary success from. The first place they should look is with me.
No offense but you realize how this sort of thing sounds, right?
