We absolutely adore Phyllis Smith, so we’d love to see her reprise the role of Sadness. Unfortunately, two others might not return to a sequel.
According to a number of sources, a sequel to Inside Out by Pixar is underway by the studio. The original film was all about a young, prepubescent girl dealing with her emotions, growing up, and moving to a new place. No details have been released regarding the sequel’s content and whether or not it will again feature Riley.
Two people it will allegedly not feature this go around: Mindy Kaling and Bill Hader. Dispute over pay has led both actors to abducate their roles for the next movie. It is unknown who might take over playing the avatars of fear and disgust.
