Ironheart follows Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) returning home to Chicago after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It doesn’t name Mephisto outright, but the visual cues lean heavily toward a supernatural source—and for many Marvel fans, all signs point to Mephisto.

Marvel TV executive Brad Winderbaum was asked directly about Mephisto during the Phase Hero podcast in November 2024.

The clip, which surfaced on social media, appears to show Sacha Baron Cohen in a devilish role at the end. Its authenticity can’t be confirmed, but it’s been enough to reignite speculation online. It’s entirely possible that this clip making the rounds is some kind of AI fabrication. Without direct confirmation from Marvel we can’t know for sure.

First introduced in Silver Surfer #3 (1968), Mephisto is essentially the Marvel Universe’s version of the devil.
