Curtis has since retracted her comments after allegedly speaking with Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige. She posted to X, “My comments about Marvel were stupid and I will do better. I’ve reached out to Kevin Feige and will no longer play in that mud slinging sandbox of competition we call the internet nor will I engage in the toilet paper promotion or game play that is designed for clicks not content or conversation.”

Interestingly, while she retracts her comments criticizing Marvel, she appears to have thrown Horowitz, San Diego Comic-Con, and much of Hollywood promotion and PR under the bus.
As for whether or not Curtis will follow through on this promise to not “engage in the toilet paper promotion or game play that is designed for clicks” time will tell. Curtis has a history of doing just that.

Infamously, during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show back in 2020 she speculated that Chris Evans shared a picture in the nude to Instagram in order to get people to vote.
Clarkson said, “Speaking of tech, sometimes it gets the better of us. Like with your Knives Out costar Chris Evans. What happened here? Do you know what happened with that whole thing?”
She added, “I just was like, was it an accident? And then all of a sudden, I love that he turned it into like, now that I’ve got your attention. That was awesome.”
Curtis replied, “So my question is this, he’s so smart and such an unbelievably beautiful human being. I’m wondering if it was even planned.”

Clarkson then stated, “Oh, he’s so clever. I kinda think it was planned just ’cause he was trying to get people to vote, you know? And he was like, ‘Now that I have your attention.’”
Curtis responded, “I could’ve made some sort of joke and say he took after his movie father, Don Johnson, or I could be also like… ‘Cause I’m really, really close friends with Melanie Griffith. She’s one of my best friends and has been forever and she was married to him twice.”

In an interview with Elle Magazine in 2022, Curtis admitted she assumed that her Knives Out co-star Ana De Armas was “an inexperienced, unsophisticated young woman” because she’s Cuban.
Curtis said, “I assumed—and I say this with real embarrassment—because she had come from Cuba, that she had just arrived. I made an assumption that she was an inexperienced, unsophisticated young woman. That first day, I was like, ‘Oh, what are your dreams?’”
