Sony is trying their hand at a raunchy eighties-esque comedy, reversing the trope from masculine-driven laughs to beta male conversions.
Just when you thought Jennifer Lawrence couldn’t be in any bigger of a movie… just when you thought she could not become a more well-known thespian… she goes off and makes a comedy like this. “No Hard Feelings” is on the way, and it looks to be trying very hard to earn its R rating. The sex-driven comedy sees Jennifer Lawrence pepper sprayed, punched in the throat, and showing off about as much flesh as she can get away with. Is it a hit in the making? Probably not. But for a star that may be fading just a bit, Lawrence looks to be doing whatever it takes to stay in the lime light.
