To me the interesting “timing” question is about the announcement of the $100 mil deal with Phoebe Boring Bridge–did Salke make that deal and they delayed the announce ’til she was gone, or was she against it and they now could make it? Considering the high price and limited talent/audience-appeal it would have been wiser to tie the deal TO Salke just in case it becomes yet another Amazon Albatross.
This actually explains her “baffling” decision to renew PWB’s contract before she was kicked out: it’s revenge, pure and simple. By the time Amazon even gets the courts to nullify the contract, Waller-Bridge will have racked up tens of millions of dollars they still have to pay her. That’s probably the last money she’ll ever earn from Hollywoke since she’s clearly not a writer, but it’s satisfying knowing Amazon got royally screwed over by DEI.
Fired, resigned, either way– good riddance…
“Save the neck for me, Clark.”
Her neck is strait crepe paper.
