Hop in the Way-Back Machine with us as we explore Disney’s Hollywood Studios as it was on opening day!

Soon we’re going to have a site refresh for That Park Place. When we do, you’re going to notice some new features around here. One of those new features is going to be a section of the site dedicated to “quick clicks” around the other entertainment sites, YouTube videos, Twitter posts, etc. Our writers will pick daily a set of articles they think are important but which we aren’t covering that day. That is a 1989 aerial shot in excellent quality of MGM Studios, now known as Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The aerial shot gives you a great look at Streets of America, the backlot tour, the residential home facades, and what would one day become Sunset Boulevard. Here’s a blown-up version:
