My family loves to travel. We have been members of the Hilton Honors program since 2008 and it has allowed us to stay at some of the top hotel chains in the United States. The program has a website that is easy to navigate where you can choose your destination and the length of your stay. Once the information is provided, Hilton Honors shows all the available rooms from their family of hotels. These are the family of hotels:

Our Favorites Over The Years
Our go to has been the Hampton Inn. We can always count on their rooms being clean, spacious and a quality free breakfast each morning. I was fortunate to to stay in an Embassy Suites in Las Vegas where we welcomed a new brother into our family. We loved the breakfast because we were able to get made-to-order omelets and a wide variety of breakfast essentials. The stay at a Homewood Suites for 4 nights was very accommodating and we appreciated that we had a dinner provided Monday through Thursday. We have had several one night stays at Hilton Garden Inn, Doubletree (make sure you get some fresh cookies when you arrive), Home Suites 2. We have also stayed at numerous Hilton Grand Vacations in the Orlando area.

A New Kid on The Block
The newest hotel to be welcomed to the family is Tru. My wife and I took a quick trip to Knoxville to watch a college baseball game and stay the night. We decided to try Tru. It didn’t cost us a dime because we used points and Tru was the lowest of points to use for the stay. We were quite impressed. The room was very comparable to a Hampton Inn. The lobby is quite different to a Hampton Inn. There was a pool table and a lot of sitting areas.
There was not a pool for swimming. Some Tru hotels have a pool. The breakfast was reminiscent of Hampton except Tru has a pancake-maker, whereas Hampton Inn has a waffle-maker. Both hotels usually have workout centers and Tru had a very nice one. I went for a walk outside and was able to get a good workout. Using my phone for a keyless entry was a nice touch. However, when we entered the room, the television was on and had a “Welcome John” message. Nice touch by Tru.

We will try to make it to some of the others soon. I would absolutely love to hear about any of the other family of hotels from readers. Share your thoughts on any of them. Thanks for reading and sharing!
Be blessed and safe travels!!!
