Since early 2019, local businesses in all parts of our great country have taken a beating. One of the main cogs of the American economy is the food sector. A lot of national chains have remained in operation while local establishments have had a very hard time of keeping the doors open. However, Chatt Trivia has been helping local establishments keep their businesses open by providing a means of easy entertainment for customers. Chatt Trivia’s website even states across the top their homepage:

Our 1st Attempt

My family attended our 1st Chatt Trivia night a couple of years ago at Cold Creek at North Oaks. Visiting CC for the first time, this particular bar and grill provided the gourmet food and great atmosphere we desired. We had no idea about the trivia that was about to place that evening and decided to stick around to play. We weren’t very good. Needless to say, we didn’t go back on a Thursday night, the day of the week trivia is played here.  The service was great! Cold Creek is known for having a number of custom beers that are rotated every week.

Our 2nd Attempt

We have been asked on numerous occasions to join some friends for Chatt Trivia at another place in Dalton, Georgia. The Cherokee Brewing + Pizza Company is a roomy, well-lit and relaxing environment to host Chatt Trivia every Monday. The pizza is authentic and gourmet, while their craft beer is “grounded in Southern roots and love of community”, according to their website.  We ordered the margherita pizza and the Big John pizza. I’m still contemplating whether pineapple should be on pizza.

Where Can We Play?

Here are a few of the places that we’ve been to eat, but never played trivia while eating there:

Farm to Fork is located in Ringgold, Georgia. Excellent assortment of foods. I love their fish tacos and their salmon salad.

Beef ‘O’ Brady’s is located in Ooltewah, Tennessee. I’ve loved everything I’ve ever ordered here. It’s also a great place to watch just about any sport on tv.

I have not visited any of the following venues, however, I will be trying to get to these very soon.

La Familia Mexican Restaurant is located in Rossville, Georgia.

Your Pie Chattanooga is located on Gunbarrel Road in Chattanooga, Tennessee and you can also play at Your Pie Ft. Oglethorpe in Georgia.

Jefferson’s is located in Summerville, Georgia.

Universal Joint  and 5 Wits Brewing Company are located in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee.

How do you play?

Trivia started promptly at 7 p.m. This varies depending on the location. There were 10 teams and I’ve noticed that some venues have up to 16-20 teams. There are 16 questions with a bonus Jeopardy-like question at the end where you could wager points to boost your overall score. Our team finished middle of the pack. It definitely makes a difference playing trivia when you have more people on your team. Also, you can receive extra points by having someone post on social media that you are playing in that particular establishment.

This was a fun time for my family of 4 to play with another six friends. We will be attending these more regularly. I believe we will hit some of these other spots to see how we do also.
