Why should everyone else have all the fun? Tomorrow morning at 9:30 am ET (Wednesday, February 25), the Jonas J. Campbell YouTube channel launches.
It seems like every media company on the planet is locked in an all-fronts culture war with not only the audience, but also their shareholders, management, and employees. David Zaslav at Warner Bros Discovery is trying to transform a company asleep at the wheel into a profitable venture once more. Disney is locked in a board room battle to decide who should be in charge of what Walt Disney, Stan Lee, and George Lucas left behind.
They should all be focused on outdoing each other at the box office, on television, and on streaming, but instead they’re fighting with their own creatives and employees for the right to tell your kids what to think about what grown-ups do.
While they’re on a supposedly righteous mission to go around your back and “fix” the culture, they want to do so by slipping their message into the things you already love. We’ve all seen the awkward balancing act as they try to cater to general audiences, bend the knee to the woke culture mob, and take shareholders for granted as they put “the message” over their fiduciary duty.
All the while, the Chinese Communist Party chuckles softly while they dangle a sack of money over American media executives heads as they watch them paw at it in desperation.
So what will the channel be about?
Basically, when these people try to pat themselves on the back in their never-ending quest to destroy traditional values, the channel will be here to make sure they get all the credit they deserve.
My job is to dig deep into the things that might slip by if we’re not careful, shine a spotlight on what’s wrong, and help us to expunge it before it gets embedded into our cultural consciousness (especially if it’s going to impact kids). One day those kids are going to take the reins of Western Civilization and if we don’t do something now, I think you all can see where this will lead.
Tomorrow, the first video in what I hope will be a long-running series will drop. You should expect the next one every Wednesday 9:30am ET every week, because there’s a surplus of places to shine the spotlight. As soon as I get my feet under me there will be more. Current events coverage, maybe some business analysis, there could be some livestreaming too down the road.
So go over the channel and click the notification bell.
Be there, AND be square. There’s more than a reasonable chance this first video is going to cause trouble right out of the gate, so feel free to watch it before it gets taken down by Warner Bros Discovery.
