Now here’s some good news about a celebrity that we could all be inspired by:

The New York Post is reporting that Keanu Reeves donated 70% of his Matrix salary to cancer research, specifically for finding a cure to Leukemia. Reeves is reported to have donated more than $30 million dollars in total. Mr. Reeves has committed a large part of his life to defeating cancer after his sister successfully beat the disease early in life.

“I have a private foundation that’s been running for five or six years, and it helps aid a couple of children’s hospitals and cancer research. I don’t like to attach my name to it, I just let the foundation do what it does.”

— Keanu Reeves, 2019 Ladies Home Journal Interview

Response from all sides of the political and social spectrum have been utterly positive:

Reeves continues to donate for cancer research and his sister has been in remission for many years. That Park Place wishes the very best to both of them, and extends a special heartfelt salute to all who have struggled, or are struggling, with the disease. May the future be bright for cancer research and for healthy, full lives! God bless Keanu Reeves for his continuing work.
