On the newest episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian learned that a brain scan showed “low activity” in parts of her frontal lobes, and she was shocked…just shocked to learn this.

The rest of the world, not so much…

(Alright, I let myself have one, but I’m going to try to be a professional here and not keep going to the obvious joke…no matter how funny it might be…)

The Doctor, the Scan, and the Moment of Truth

The visit was conducted by Dr. Daniel Amen, a celebrity doctor well-known for his SPECT imaging — a brain-scan technique that mainstream neurologists often treat with extreme skepticism. Amen has appeared on Kim’s show before, and the Kardashians seem fascinated by his colorful brain charts.

This time, though, Kim’s chart gave her pause.

Amen reassured her that she wasn’t showing signs of anxiety or depression and even told her she has a “beautiful” brain (goals, am I right?). But that wasn’t the part that got her attention. What caught her eye were the dark patches she called “holes.”

Amen explained that the areas weren’t literal holes but indicators of reduced brain activity.

“The front part of your brain is less active than it should be,” he said.

Kim’s response was instant and emphatic.

“That just can’t be… It just can’t — not accepting,” she said.

Given the history of Kim Kardashian on reality TV (and…the planet), even mentioning her brain activity in passing was enough to guarantee social media would ignite.

Amen attributed the lowered activity to “chronic stress,” which, to be fair, is probably the closest thing Kim has to a personality trait. Between studying for the bar exam (best of luck…Okay, seriously I have to stop making these jokes…), running multiple businesses, planning a Met Gala appearance, and managing the public fallout from her ex-husband’s latest headline tour, it’s honestly surprising the scan didn’t come back reading “Please Try Again.”

Is This a Serious Health Concern?

In reality, SPECT scans like the one Kim took aren’t used by mainstream neurologists to diagnose stress or cognitive issues. They are, however, great at giving celebrities something colorful to look concerned about.

So, is Kim Kardashian in any real danger from this low brain activity? According to actual medical standards, absolutely not. The aneurysm she’s had for years is stable, the scan isn’t a medical diagnosis, and the only thing under genuine threat here is the viewing audience’s patience.

Still, Kim did what Kim always does: turned on the confessional camera and delivered a perfectly crafted moment about needing “a plan” because she has “a lot to do this summer.”

Translation: expect at least three episodes of wellness montages, a new SKKN “Stress Serum,” and perhaps a tearful shot of her flipping through bar exam flashcards while wearing couture loungewear.

Will any of this change her schedule? Her habits? Her public image? Probably not.

But will it give Hulu another season’s worth of content?

Oh, absolutely.
