Kite Fails: Disney Adds Crash Sound Effects to Show

What goes up must go…

Our friends at WDWMagic.com are reporting that the show Kite Tails at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom has been modified. The infamous kite crashing landings that were unintentionally hilarious have now been worked in the official script. An opening dialogue explains that the kites will crash, and when the kites do slam into the bleachers, there’s now a funny sound effect to accompany.

The show itself has been widely panned. If you have a child around six years old or younger, I can see how it would be something worth stopping by to see… otherwise, it’s just kites circling the water without any real narrative. I imagine that if you somehow managed to bring in a service cat to Disney World, this might be something a cat would enjoy. Then again, they’d probably prefer Birds of Wonder… which would be a completely different crisis. But you really have to wonder about a show that I’m explaining woudl be more interesting to cats than human beings.

We highly recommend you stop by WDW Magic to see their latest video showing the new sound effect and spiel before the show. And, as always, keep checking out That Park Place for all your latest Disney World news!
