Located in the Africa section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the quick‑service window known as Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery (often simply “Kusafiri”) has modified its offerings to include lunch and dinner, in addition to its traditional breakfast and snack items.
New Menu Options
Previously known primarily as a location for morning coffee, pastries and light bites, Kusafiri began offering new lunch items on October 11, 2025. Entree options range from $10.99-$11.79.
The newer items added to Kusafiri’s lineup reflect a focus on regional spice blends and plant-forward options. The “Impossible Gatsby,” for example, uses a plant-based meat substitute seasoned with North African-inspired spices. The tomato-pepper relish and potato sticks add sweetness and texture. It is designed to mirror flavors found in traditional Gatsby sandwiches, though in a smaller, quick-service format.

The “Harissa Chicken Wrap” contains a cold, mayo-based chicken salad with light harissa seasoning. Harissa is a North African spice paste typically made from chilies, garlic, and olive oil. In this dish, the spice level is described as mild. The wrap is finished with avocado spread and shredded vegetables.
The flatbreads, which are heated and served warm, offer additional options for guests seeking more protein-centered meals.
The Marinated Pork Flatbread features tender, seasoned pork served on warm flatbread. It is topped with a cucumber-tomato salad, greens, and a drizzle of harissa aioli, which adds a mild, smoky heat. The dish is accompanied by a side of house-made potato chips.

Kusafiri also now serves the “Chicken and Rice Bowl” from the Harambe Market. This Chermoula-marinated Chicken is served atop jollof rice, paired with a kachumbari tomato salad and tzatziki sauce.
In addition to coffee and pastries, Kusafiri also serves alcoholic beverages such as assorted beers and African Coffee with Amarula cream liqueur.
The menu expansion appears to reflect a broader strategy by Walt Disney World to offer more full‑meal options throughout its parks.
Things to Consider When Planning
Kusafiri is located near the entrance to the Kilimanjaro Safaris ride in the Harambe Village area of Africa. Historically, the kiosk had limited seating and functioned largely as a coffee/quick snack stop. It shares seating with Tamu Tamu Refreshments.
Current hours are from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. So late evening snackers will need to find somewhere else to grab dinner.

In summary, while Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery has expanded beyond a breakfast‑only kiosk to include more substantive lunch offerings, the practical deployment of those items appears irregular and subject to change. Guests should check availability ahead of time.
