A leaker shared a screenshot with YouTuber Script Trooper from an upcoming episode of The Acolyte revealing who the Sith character is that attacked a group of Jedi and appeared to have killed the Jedi Master Kelnacca on the planet Khofar in the fourth episode of the series.
As showcased in the video, the identity of the Sith is Manny Jacinto’s Qimir.
It’s not surprising that Qimir would be the Sith, he seemingly knew exactly where Kelnacca’s base and was guiding Mae to it in the show’s fourth episode. In the show’s second episode, he also showed his adeptness in dodging Mae’s attacks on him.
In fact, he’s able to turn her own blade against her and pin her up against a wall.

In an interview with Nerds of Color ahead of the show’s release it was also heavily hinted that Qimir had a duality to him. The interviewer asked, “With Star Wars, in general, there’s a duality to it. There’s, you know. Sith and Jedi, good and bad, emotions or no emotions, and for your Qimir, there’s no allegiance, we don’t know where he lies, Mae and Osha, which we’re allowed to talk about, there is a duality between them. What can you guys tell me about your characters and their relation to this black and white spectrum of duality?”

Jacinto responded, “I think what makes Qimir so interesting, like you said, there’s no form of allegiance. He’s not tied to the Dark. He’s not tied to the Light. For him, it’s just what kind of allows him to survive and to exist. And he has that kind of nonchalant flowiness to him. He can go this way or he can go that way depending on his mood or attitude. He’s just kind of going back and forth whatever he needs to do to survive in a sense.”
He then hinted, “I guess, perhaps, we’ll find out what his allegiance is towards the end, or maybe there is no allegiance at all. Maybe he just creates his own path.

Later in the interview, Jacinto was also asked, “How much did you know about your character going into it? … Were you told as the story continued or were you told the breakdown from the beginning?”
Jacinto answered, “When Leslye and I met, she posed it as a problem to solve like how would you approach this character, how would you figure out his dynamic within the world of Star Wars and amongst all these different characters. She kind of left it up to me to figure out and kind of brainstorm with her and then it was very much, like Amandla said, a collaborative experience. And with that it becomes very personal and you hold on to these characters a lot more carefully.”
“Yeah, so we did find out very much in the beginning what the foundation of our characters would be and the best part about working on this series is that we got to craft their interactions with one another and craft their growth together with Leslye and the other characters through rehearsal and even on set,” he concluded.
