LEVEL99, an interactive gaming and entertainment company, has begun hiring staff for its upcoming Disney Springs venue. Job listings published on Level99’s careers site reveal the initial leadership roles are now open.
Leadership Roles Announced
As of October 2025, Level99 is hiring for two leadership positions at its upcoming Disney Springs location: Director of Operations and Venue Technician.
The Director of Operations will oversee daily functions across entertainment, bar, and food service areas. The position involves leading more than 100 staff, managing financial performance, and ensuring guest service standards. The venue is expected to serve approximately 500,000 guests each year and will occupy 45,000 square feet.

The Venue Technician will work directly on maintaining attraction systems. Duties include inspection, repair, and general upkeep of facility components. The technician will also collaborate with a Venue Technician Lead to maintain system reliability and operational safety.
Venue and Project Background
LEVEL99 is an interactive entertainment company that designs large-scale, in-person gaming venues combining physical challenges, puzzles, and team-based activities. Each location features dozens of themed rooms, competitive arenas, and food and beverage services. Its concept emphasizes group participation, timed experiences, and a mix of digital and physical gameplay.
The Disney Springs site was announced in February 2025, with Level99 slated to occupy the former NBA Experience/DisneyQuest building on the West Side. A construction permit (a “Notice of Commencement”) was filed in April 2025 for general construction and demolition.
When complete, the venue will cover 45,000 square feet across two levels, featuring more than 60 challenge rooms and duels. The facility is designed to host up to 1,000 players simultaneously.

A two‑story bar is planned at the center of the venue, offering crafted cocktails and local beers. The food offering will include Detroit‑style pizza and a chef‑crafted menu.
Level99 currently operates in Natick, Massachusetts, and Providence, Rhode Island, and is expanding to Tysons Corner, Virginia, and West Hartford, Connecticut. The Disney Springs venue will be its first in Florida and its largest to date.
Level99 is backed by Act III Holdings, the firm led by Panera cofounder Ron Shaich. Its founder, Matthew DuPlessie, launched what is described as an early modern escape‑room style business in 2004.
Timeline, Uncertainties, and Observations
No official opening date has been announced. Although exterior digital signage has appeared, visible interior construction remains limited. Work is expected to proceed over several months given the venue’s scale and staffing needs.
The repurposing of the former NBA Experience and DisneyQuest space marks a return of a large-scale entertainment concept in that location.

The hiring announcements offer insight into how Level99 plans to structure operations, with dedicated leadership roles and a large support workforce. The project also signals renewed investment in the entertainment offerings at Disney Springs, repopulating a site that has been dormant for years.
