Sometimes big corporations can get a very bad rap for the way they can treat their employees. But there are times that this trend goes in the very opposite direction, and as much as we complain when employees are treated poorly, we need to praise companies when they get things right. Such is the case for The Walt Disney Company and their plan to close The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World at 4 PM on May 3rd and May 15th. They’re doing it to celebrate cast members who have achieved twenty and thirty years at Walt Disney World. Closing the Magic Kingdom early is a major expenditure for Disney, so in this case they’re putting their money where their mouth is. Here’s to celebrating the cast members who have dedicated their professional careers to making memories for families that will last a life time!

From everyone here at That Park Place, we extend our gratitude and gratefulness to all the cast members who work at Disney World and try to make Disney World all that it could be. Here’s to each and every one of you!

In the comments below, if you’re so inclined, make sure to let us know a time when a cast member really went above and beyond to make your experience actually magical.
