After a Knott’s Berry Farm riot led to that park having to be evacuated and new policies instituted, a huge brawl at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has more people talking.
Videos and information from this article are sourced from WDWNT and their publicly posted data. You can see their exclusive reporting here. Some have criticized showing this information as they deem it playing into some sort of stereotype. We do not feel that is an appropriate criticism. We are very happy to show people acting utterly foolishly or maliciously at theme parks, and the ethnicity of the person doesn’t impact our desire to display it. One thing to note, however: we don’t show typical bad behavior because we don’t intend to display an average person’s worst moments to tens of thousands. There is a line that can be crossed, however, and this one fits that bill perfectly.
Two families came into conflict at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom on Wendesday, July 20th, 2022. Wearing designer apparel and matching shirts, the families were displeased with one another over something to do with the Philharmagic exit. As the families broke into a vicious fight, Disney World security was nowhere to be seen. This is the second time we’ve seen a huge brawl at a domestic Disney Park in which security did not arrive nor take control of the situation in a timely manner. It really calls into question how safe one is in Disney World if a guest assaults others.

For all individuals involved, we hope that they choose to not act this way in the future. We also hope that Walt Disney World will significantly improve their security and response time. There’s little benefit to having so much surveillance if a large fight can break out with no impediment seen. What if one of these individuals had pulled out a makeshift weapon? Protocols certainly need to be improved.
