It was public knowledge that Dollywood had been planning a new roller coaster addition for 2023, but silence for many months had led to speculation that the theme park might hold off on plans while inflation rises. Many were worried the construction might be slow-walked for a postponed completion. The Mountain Press website has put those concerns to bed with an article that confirms Dollywood will, indeed, be receiving a major expansion very soon. This continues a pattern of many years of expansion at the park and its surrounding resort.

The new coaster will go between the railroad tracks in the northwestern portion of the park. This should be quite a visual for people riding the train. We’re very happy to hear that the construction will continue for a major Dollywood addition next year!
