Marvel could be eyeing none other than controversial Snow White actress Rachel Zegler for an as of yet unknown role within the MCU.
Just when you think Kevin Feige’s decision making couldn’t be any more questionable, reports like this start making the rounds.
Hollywood scooper MyTimeToShineHello recently stated on X that Marvel was interested in casting the 23-year-old Snow White actress despite a string of unhinged public meltdowns that caused huge controversy for Disney.

It’s unclear what, if any role she’d take. It’s possible Zegler could become a key player in Marvel’s upcoming reboot of the X-Men, or some other character from its vast comic book library.
It’s also unclear why Marvel would want to work with Rachel Zegler given the actress’s recent online antics.

Zegler recently made headlines following the 2024 US presidential election, posting a series of crazed rants to her Instagram account wherein she appeared to wish harm or misfortune on the incoming president and the 75 million Americans that voted for him.
“I find myself speechless in the midst of this,” Zegler said before writing a lengthy speech. “Another four years of hatred, leaning us towards a world I do not want to live in. Leaning us towards a world that will be hard to raise my daughter in. Leaning us towards a world that will force her to have a baby she doesn’t want. Leaning us towards a world that is fearful.”
Rachel Zegler is not a parent and has no daughter. She was speaking of a hypothetical child here.

“I shouldn’t be this shocked,” she continued. “But I am. I am heartbroken for my friends who awoke fear this morning. And I am here with you. To cry, to yell, to hug. To wax poetic on how the left continues to fail us in forging a new path forward. This loss should not have been. And it certainly should not have been by so many votes. I echo Ethel Cain’s statement more than anything. “May Trump supporters and Trump himself never know peace.”
Zegler was forced to issue an apology for this rant via another written post on social media.

“Hi, everyone,” Zegler said on Instagram. “I would like to sincerely apologize for the election post I shared on my Instagram last week. I let my emotions get the best of me. Hatred and Anger have caused us to move further away from peace and understanding, and I’m sorry I contributed to the negative discourse. This week has been emotional for so many of us. But I firmly believe that everyone has the right to their opinion, even when it differs from my own. I am committed to contributing positive toward a better tomorrow.”
However, inconsistencies with the language and grammar between the rant and apology led many to wonder if Zegler actually wrote the post herself.
Why Marvel or Disney for that matter would want to go anywhere near Rachel Zegler again is anyone’s guess. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been struggling from a series of box office bombs led by outspoken activist leads like The Marvels and The Eternals.

Rachel Zegler is far from a proven Hollywood commodity. The actress has never appeared in a successful film, with even Hunger Games: A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes drawing the lowest box office of any Hunger Games title.
And her upcoming Snow White reboot isn’t looking much better.

The last Snow White trailer released on YouTube has a stunning like to dislike ratio, with north of 96 thousand likes to 1.3 million dislikes. The discourse around Zegler appears to have gotten so bad that Disney released its new Snow White trailer in front of Universal’s Wicked this weekend without posting it online.
Typically, the only reason to release a trailer for such a large film in theaters only is if you’re trying to generate ticket sales to an underperforming release that you can attach the trailer to. However, Disney released this trailer in front of its biggest competitor’s biggest movie of the year.
