Walt Disney World Resort is requiring that all guests wear masks while indoors, once again, starting today, July 30th, 2021. Reported by WDW Magic, the directive is not optional and seems to have no exceptions — thus, whether someone has been vaccinated, has a respiratory condition making masking difficult, etc, it makes no difference for whether or not one must mask indoors.
The change comes on the heels of new CDC guidance and the threat of a new variant of COVID-19. That Park Place makes no claim about the dangers of the disease, its variants, or the efficacy of various medical options; we always recommend you speak with your doctor about your medical concerns.
“Beginning July 30, face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) while indoors and in Disney buses, monorail and Disney Skyliner, regardless of vaccination status. This includes upon entering and throughout all attractions. Face coverings remain optional for all Guests in outdoor common areas.” — Walt Disney Company
Should guidance change again, we will certainly cover that at That Park Place. For the time being, Disney is not requiring masks be worn outdoors by anyone, and guests in the soon-to-be August heat will be thankful for that.
