It is being reported by Variety and other outlets that Disney has approved a sequel season for the hockey series Mighty Ducks: Game Changers on Disney+. The series is based off of the 1992 original film, Mighty Ducks.
The series seems to have been a moderate success for Disney+, so it’s not surprising that the series will be extended for ten more seasons. The show stars Brady Noon, Lauren Graham, and Emilio Estevez, with Steve Brill, Cathy Yuspa, and Josh Goldsmith as co-creators.
No release has date has been announced, as of publication, but shows starring minors tend to have quick series refreshers since aging is a key part to the narrative. Still, given the uncertainty of the times we are experiencing, there could be some new mandate out there that will delay The Mighty Ducks. That said, we’re expecting a V Formation on the ice in short order barring some new oddity.
