Today, The Walt Disney World Resort announced new Weekday Magic Passes only available for Florida residents. This follows Disney having provided Florida residents with a new annual pass structure that has been criticized by some, as well as a new annual pass for non-Florida residents that is quite expensive. That Park Place has reported previously that reservations for late February – May appear to be under what Disney anticipated:
The details for the new “Weekday Magic Passes” are as follows:
2-day ticket for $149 (plus tax), valid Monday through Friday until April 7, 2022; subject to blockout dates March 14-18, 2022. Tickets can be used on consecutive or nonconsecutive days. Guests can also purchase a 3-day ticket for $179 (plus tax) or a 4-day ticket for $199 (plus tax).

That means Florida residents willing to go to Disney World during the week can grab a ticket for the equivalent of $50 per day. That’s a major discount and may reflect the level of anticipation Disney has as to how difficult it will be to lure customers back into the park. The news breaks on the same day that Disney World has committed to higher food and beverage prices, including a five-dollar soda bottle cost for guests.
