In what’s becoming a troubling Hollywood tradition, yet another high-profile IP adaptation from Disney has its stars laughing at the very material they’re adapting. This time it’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps, where actress Vanessa Kirby revealed she and co-star Pedro Pascal shared a laugh over “outdated” portrayals of Sue Storm in classic comics.

Always odd to me when they mock the source material, whether it’s comics or classic stories, without the source material there is NO movie PERIOD. The source becomes classic for a reason, you change the source you throw out the reason to make it into a movie.

But that’s the problem with Disney: they ALWAYS think they can do it better. No matter how many times they’re proven wrong, they always believe that the Disney way is the way to go.

I can’t believe how far Marvel as a brand has fallen while under Disney’s umbrella. That company has become a cancer to everything it touches.
